May 23, 2018 - Jundiaí, SP - Brazil - CBC obtained recommendation from Lloyd's for certification ISO 9001 - Version 2015.

In the period from May 11th to 19th, we had the external audit performed by the certifier Lloyd's and CBC obtained the recommendation for certification of ISO 9001 in the version 2015 - Quality Management, which aims to align quality concepts to business.

According to the Lloyd's audit opinion, the established system is excellent, capable of generating business according to the concepts of the new ISO 9001: 2015 standard.

This is a shared victory for us: To our employees, partners, customers and stakeholders, thank you very much!

 

No. 004

On April 18th, CENIBRA held in Ipatinga city its annual ceremony to award the best suppliers in 2017. Among the three finalists in each of the fourteen categories of services providers, CBC Indústrias Pesadas S.A. was awarded as “The Best Industrial Material Supplier”. CBC received from CENIBRA a certificate and a commemorative plaque.

Suppliers were evaluated according to the following requirements: safety, occupational health, quality, environment, human resources, operational aspects and material resources. It was also considered legal aspects such as tax and labor regulations, as well as its financial and technical capability.

This achievement was possible mainly due to the commitment of the employees involved in the ESP (Electrostatic Precipitator) Retrofit Project. In addition, to the accomplishment of the requirements above, the team also met technical requirements, delivery time and quality. We thank our employees, suppliers and partners who have always trusted CBC, helping us to provide quality products and also enabling us to be part of great achievements over all these years.

On April 18, 2018, engineer Oscar Itiro Hassegawa was honored for the best article of the Technical Session on Energy and Recovery, presented at the 50th International Pulp and Paper Congress - ABTCP 2017.

The article refers to life assessment in boiler pressure parts, and root cause analysis of failure in boiler tubes, using non-destructive method to measure the oxide layer of tubes’ inner surface.

In order to execute this technique, CBC Industrias Pesadas S.A. acquired the "inner scale" equipment developed by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) and, using ultrasonic technique, perform inspection in carbon steel tubes of furnaces and alloy steel tubes of superheaters.

December 7, 2017 – Jundiaí SP Brazil - CBC Indústrias Pesadas S.A. (CBCSA) promoted its second “Compliance Week” in the company. 

CBCSA is committed to build and improve the mechanisms of Prevention, Detection and Response within the Compliance Program, in order to strengthen the culture of integrity, in both internal and external relationships, including its Supply Chain, since there is an understanding that such initiatives preserve not only its own reputation, but its commercial partners as well.

The establishment of integrity actions in CBCSA to prevent and combat corruption as well as violations of the Code of Conduct were the lectures´ themes held at the Compliance Week. During the event, which occurred on June 6, 7, 8 and 9, 2017, issues related to hotline´s channels, code of conduct, discrimination, classification of information and anti-corruption and anti-bribery practices were discussed with employees in order to reinforce the importance of preventing illicit acts.

Compliance is an investment and avoids costs with breaches of legal rules. Investments in human resources, training and continuing education mitigate the risks of the organization's operations related to compliance and integrity failures.

This is another contribution of CBCSA, disseminating and strengthening the ethical practices in the market.
